Hi hi hi Reader,
If you feel like you're stuck on the content creation hamster wheel, LISTEN UP....
Because it doesn't have to be like thiiiiiiis.
Repeat after me: "I DO NOT NEED TO CREATE BRAND NEW CONTENT FOR ALL THESE DAMN PLATFORMS"
π π π YOU DO NOT NEED TO CREATE BRAND NEW CONTENT FOR ALL THESE DAMN PLATFORMS.
Especially if you approach your marketing from a SEARCH-FIRST perspective.
Let me explain...
Instead of creating new/unique content specifically for all these fast moving platforms (Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc), create content for GOOGLE/SEARCH FIRST, and THEN repurpose it to the other platforms you're using.
(Preferably just 1 or 2 others, not all of them. Results follow your focus babyyyyyy.)
Here's the process:
π Do SEO keyword research to find what your ideal people are searching for.
π Write GOOD/HELPFUL long-form content about it on your website.
π THEN use that content & repurpose it for the other platforms.
That's it.
Nowwwww, instead of immediately moving onto the next blog post or staring at Instagram wondering "wtf do I post now?"...
SQUEEZE THE JUICE OUTTA THAT BAD BOY.
β‘οΈ Create 3-5 pins for the blog post on Pinterest.
β‘οΈ Share snippets of the content in an Instagram carousel, LinkedIn or Threads post.
β‘οΈ Take some bite-sized pieces & create 1-3 Reels/TikToks.
β‘οΈ Use the blog post as notes/script & turn it into a podcast episode or YouTube video.
β‘οΈ Send a version or preview of it to your email list, then link back to the original post for the full read.
Wanna know the BEST part about this tho?
You DO NOT NEED TO WRITE A NEW BLOG POST EVERY WEEK.
1x a month, or 1x bi-monthly is *actually* perfect.
Annnnnnnd you can ALSO continue sharing & repurposing that SAME content again, later.
- Update the Pinterest graphics.
- Pull out a DIFFERENT section for another Instagram post.
- Make another Reel based on a different tip.
- Update & reshare the blog post 3, 6, 9, 12+ months from now.
Evergreen, long-form, helpful content (the kind that does best with SEO), doesn't DIE after you publish it.
IT'S JUST GETTIN' STARTED.
Long-form evergreen content is trulyyyyyyyy the gift π that keeps on giving.
Why is this approach more sustainable?
For a couple reasons...
#1 being that creating long-form content (aka helpful blog posts) on your website is SEARCHABLE.
And it has a LONGER SHELF LIFE.
I have 3+ blog posts originally from 2017 on my website that STILL drive traffic to my website & subscribers to my newsletter, month after month.
That's almost TEN YEARS of a piece of content continuing to do its lil' job in the background π
PLUS, when the entire idea for your content started with SEO keyword research, you're not just guessing what your audience might wanna hear about.
You have actual keyword data showing you that people are searching for it.
So you're creating content you KNOW there's demand for, putting it somewhere people can continue finding it through search, annnnnd then using that same content to fuel the other marketing platforms you're already showing up on.
PLUS PLUS (this is THE part a lot of people don't realize), when your WEBSITE has content (aka blog posts) that back up YOUR EXPERTISE, Google & AI bots TRUST YOU MORE.
When they trust you more, you get ranked & recommended more.
TBH, I could prob think of 400+ more reasons WHY a search-first marketing approach is the BEST option on the internet, but also, I think you're already pickin' up what I'm putting down LOLOL
It's a win-win-win-win-win.
Stop. creating. more. work. for. yourself.
Start with search, then repurpose accordingly.
Wanna get a BTS look at how to build out this kinda process for yourself?
Next Wednesday I'm partnering with Adobe Acrobat + CreativeMornings to host a completely FREE virtual session called: From SEO Keyword to Repurposing Content Planβ
I'll show you how to start with ONE keyword (yes, we'll do some quick keyword research together), turn it into a blog post topic you actually wanna write, and then build a full content repurposing plan inside an Adobe Acrobat PDF Space.
You'll leave with a system you can reuse again & again whenever you're planning your content.
It's happening, virtually, on Wednesday, September 23rd @ 1β2pm EST.

β
Action steps for this week:
Pick ONE keyword you've already found during keyword research (or do a quick search and find one!) that could make a good blog post topic.
Then, BEFORE you even write the blog post, brainstorm 3 ways you could repurpose that topic once it's published.
- Could one section become an Instagram carousel?
- Could you turn the main idea into a YouTube video or podcast episode?
- Could you pull out one juicy tip for a Reel? Could you send a shorter version to your email list?
Plan for repurposing from the START, and STOP creating more work for yourself later π
Annnnnd if you want me to walk you through a similar process LIVE, come hang with me next Wednesday for the free Adobe Acrobat session! π
