Hey hey hey heyyyyyyyy Reader,
Okay, ya'll LOVED the newsletter last week.
I was soooooo excited to get so many replies and shares about it on IG 👀
KNOWING THAT THESE EMAILS FEEL ACTIONABLE FOR YOU ARE A LOVE LANGUAGE TO ME.
Please, keep sharing, replying, and utilizing these tips.
Okay, into today's VERY actionable topic...
Creating a "Press & Media" page on your website.
And before your brain goes, “MARIAH I DON'T HAVE PRESS” OR “my business is too small / too new / too not-flashy”
Respectfully: you’re wrong 😌
And I explained WHY you're wrong in this newsletter here.
But once you start getting mentioned (whether that’s a podcast interview, a guest article, a local feature, or a quote in someone else’s content) it's time to create a SINGLE PAGE on your website where all this juicy, authority building content lives.
Why?
Because it's helpful as fuck for Google, for AI bots, for website visitors, annnnnnd for future PR collabs to SEE that you're a trusted authority in your industry.
Press compounds.
So does authority & trust building signals.
And in the age of AI search?
Making those signals clear and centralized can matter a lot.
Why?
Because having a press page...
- Creates ONE central place to collect mentions, features, interviews, and guest content
- Showcases backlinks you’ve already earned (so you can leverage them for MORE)
- Reinforces E-E-A-T (experience, expertise, authority, trust) which is a CONFIRMED SEO ranking factor.
- Makes your entire site feel more credible
A press page is like a lil' credibility resume.
So no, this press & media page won't help with "ranking for more keywords" but it CAN help when it shows up in site links or when people search your brand/business and your "press page" shows up in results.
Like "OOOOH SHIT THIS BUSINESS OWNER HAS A PRESS PAGE?!?!?!?!"
It sounds impressive as fuck lmao
“But I don’t have *enough* press yet…”
This is where A LOT of people underestimate themselves...
You do not need to be featured in Forbes or recommended on TV for it to count.
It does NOT need to be flashy.
I PROMISE YOU.
And you don't even need "a lot" of mentions or features to create a press page.
I created mine when I had only 2 things to add to it, and now look at it (click here to see my Press page).
Same thing for my podcast's website. I created a Press page for that too, even though we have very few things to add to it (see how truly basic it is right here!)
Want more details on WTF to include on a press page?
I'm not a PR expert, but my friends Lydia & Bridget (from Visibility on Purpose) are. So they helped me create this NEW blog post on my website that breaks down allllll the tea...
>> Press Page: Do You Need One? What Should You Include? (+ Examples)
It walks through:
- What actually counts as press
- Why press pages convert better (for humans too)
- What to include
- Examples of real press pages (big brands + small businesses)
It’s a great resource for just getting started.

👇 Action step for this week:
Open a Google Doc or Notes app and brain-dump everything that could count as press for your business.
Include things like podcasts you’ve been a guest on, collaborations you've been part of, etc.
>> Read the blog post for ideas & examples!
Get them OUT of your head and onto paper.
Then, start to gather the links from all over the internet.
Once you do this, the act of actually CREATING the page is gonna be a breeze.
You can prob whip it up in like 20 minutes (because it does NOT need to be cute. It can just be like this, a page with links!) OR you can send that doc over to your web designer / VA to implement for you.
Just make sure ALL external links open in a NEW tab.
And then LINK THAT PAGE FROM YOUR MAIN NAVIGATION.
I put mine as a dropdown option under "About".
(or add it to your footer, like I did for my podcast website).
