Image ALT is a big deal for 2 main reasons:

ALT text helps screen readers describe images to people who can’t see them.

2. SEO
Search engines can’t “see” images the way we do.
So they rely on ALT text to understand:
- What the image is
- How it relates to your page/content
- Whether it should show up in search (especially Google Images)
Sooooo YES, having ALT text for your images can *literally* attract traffic to your website all on their own 👀
(especially if you’re in a VERY visual industry, like ecommerce, design, food, travel, etc.)
What makes “GOOD” ALT text?
Not this: “pinterest marketing strategist pinterest marketing expert pinterest strategist marketing”

That is the PERFECT example of keyword stuffing an image alt text and that's NOT what it's for, and it's also not going to work.
You can't game the system. You GOTTA play by the rules. Because that's how you get sustainable SEO results.
Good ALT text is:
- Clear
- Specific
- Written like a normal human
- Actually describing what’s in the image
Like: “Pinterest marketing strategist Jenny Adams working on laptop at her home desk”
Just by reading that, you can literally imagine EXACTLY what this image looks like, without seeing it.
