HEY HEY HEYYYYYYYYYY Reader,
I'm excited as hell for this week's newsletter.
Because it's time to squash a BIG ASS MYTH that holds a lot of people back from even *starting* to implement SEO.
A lot of people think SEO results come from doing something BIG.
A full website overhaul.
Publishing 4 blog posts in a month.
Spending an entire weekend βfixing all the technical things."
And don't get me wrong, those things can OBVIOUSLY help...
But the REAL MAGIC *JUICE* with SEO does NOT need to be wrapped up in this elaborate package w/ a fancy bow, or become this huge intense project.
Sustainable SEO results actually come from small actions done, consistently.
What do I mean by "consistently" tho????
NOT EVERYDAY, that's for damn sure πππ
Ideally, weekly.
But not 10-hours a week. Because SEO does NOT need to become your full time job. You have a business.
Instead, what about just ONE HOUR A WEEK???
Can you commit to that?
Just one hour.
Because that's all it takes, I promise.
AND I HAVE PROOF TO SHOW (screenshots from Search Club members)
Why does the "1-hour a week" strategy work so well?!
Because SEO is a compounding system.
Just not really in the way *most* people think.
Yes, your website updates, traffic numbers, and keyword results alllllllll compound. That's obvious.
But more importantly, your SEO SKILLS compound.
Every time you spend intentional time analyzing your SEO data (or lack thereof LOL), researching keywords, creating helpful content, or making changes on your website, you start NOTICING things like:
- What topics actually get traction
- What pages attract the right people
- What content Google & AI clearly understand
- And whatβ¦just kinda sits there doing nothing
And all of this helps you to start seeing patterns, noticing trends, and UNDERSTANDING the cause & effect nature of SEO.
βOh shit, THIS blog post is driving traffic.β
βInteresting!!!!! This page started ranking after I clarified this section.β
βWait, I think I know why this post didn't get picked up at all!"
And THAT is where SEO results start pickin' up speeeeeed.
Because once you understand how it all works together, you can make more intentional decisions that *actually* move the needle.
But when you disappear from your SEO for 4β6 months (or even a full year) at a time, you lose that feedback loop.
Which kinda makes you start from scratch every time.
Because you're always stuck in beginner mode π«
So, whether you decide to jump into Search Club with us when doors open, or not, can you commit to ONE HOUR a week for your SEO?
If you can, you'll be able to:
Stay connected to your data.
Stay connected to what your audience is responding to.
Annnnnnnd stay connected to whatβs working.
Need some ideas of what to work on for 1-hour THIS week?
Personally, over the past few months these are some things I've done during my own 1-hour blocks:
- Repurposed YouTube videos into blog posts (using RightBlogger)
- Updated an OLD blog post to make it better & more helpful
- Created a collaboration post with other SEO experts
- Clarified messaging/positioning on a service page that started ranking
- Checked in on my SEO data to get an idea of what's working/not
- Updated the target keyword on my homepage & re-optimized for it
And inside Search Club, members have been doing things like:
- Publishing their FIRST blog post
- Outlining new content based on a keyword/topic
- Submitting quotes to journalists for brand & domain authority
- Pitching themselves to podcasts
- Optimizing existing product pages with clearer headings + better positioning
- Adding FAQs to service pages
- Updating old blog content & adding internal links
- Crafting new SEO titles & meta descriptions for more CLICKS
- Getting feedback from me every step of the way π

π Action step for this week:
Open your calendar right now and schedule one 60-minute block for SEO within the next 7-days.
Then choose ONE task from this list and do it during that hour:
- Update the SEO title + meta description for one priority page
- Add 3β5 FAQs to a service/product page
- Refresh one old blog post (add a new section + internal links)
- Repurpose one piece of content into a blog post draft (video / email / workshop / IG caption)
- Check Google Search Console β find 1 keyword sitting in positions 8β20 β improve the page thatβs ranking for it
Thatβs it.
We don't need you doing EVERYTHING this week, but ya gotta do SOMETHING.
Doors are opening to Search Club, my SEO membership, on MARCH 11th (next week) to the waitlist ONLY π (If spots are still open after the waitlist gets first dibs, doors will open to the public on March 16th!)
This is gonna be THE spot to get my feedback & accountability for taking your SEO seriously.
